General Policies, Terms and Conditions

The Pillow and Paddock is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. us. If your travel plans might change, we encourage you to select the fully refundable rate when you book. If your travel plans do change or you must cancel your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible.

Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special events. These policies are posted as part of the "special event" or other package descriptions on our website.


Deposits/ Cancellations


Deposits will be required in the amount of one (1) night's room charge for all Regular Rate reservations made by phone or online except for SPECIAL EVENTS or PACKAGES with different deposit requirements. Balance owing will be charged when cancellation period ends, up to 7 days prior to arrival. Note: Full amount is charged upon booking for Non-Refundable or Cancel Anytime rates.

Cancellations made thirty (30) days or more prior to arrival date will receive a full refund less $35.00 processing fee. Cancellations from 7-30** days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund of the deposit, no refund within 7 days unless we are able to re-book the suite. In the case of emergency or government shut-down, we reserve the right to provide a voucher in lieu of refund. This applies to all reservations except for Non-refundable rates, SPECIAL EVENTS and PACKAGES with different cancellation requirements.

**In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than seven (7) days notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your ENTIRE reservation. If we are able to rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund will be made.


Ky Derby Special Event

All Derby reservations require 3-nights or longer, must include Derby Friday and Saturday nights. Prices are based on double occupancy and require a non-refundable deposit of 50% at the time of booking, the balance is due in full 30 days prior to arrival.

If a cancellation is necessary due to emergency, we will do our best to re-book the reservation. If successful, 50% of the total paid will be refunded.


Check-In/ Check-Out Times

Normal check-in time is from 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM. If arriving outside of this window, please message to make arrangements so that the Innkeeper is certain to be available.

No check-ins are allowed prior to 12:00 Noon or after 10:00 p.m. except in extraordinary situations in order to preserve the comfort of other guests. Additional fees apply to early check-in and can be added to the booking online.

Normal check-out time is 11:00 AM. Later check-out can be arranged depending on room availability.


COVID-19

At the Pillow and Paddock Bed & Breakfast, we take our responsibility to our community very seriously, and the current COVID-19 pandemic does not change that. If anything, we are more committed than ever to doing the right thing for those around us. As we navigate through these times, adhering to the Pillow & Paddock's Policies and Procedures continues to be paramount.

As always, we sanitize and clean everything thoroughly, following all CDC guidelines. Our rooms all have ensuite bathrooms for that extra peace of mind. We block rooms for the day prior to and following departure of guests. We have reorganized our dining room to ensure social distancing during breakfast service.


Guest Property/ Liability

Management assumes no responsibility for personal property left in guest rooms or common areas following check-in and encourages all guests to lock the "dead bolt" locks on their bedroom doors when they leave.


Damages

Damage to property, furnishings, decor, and/or equipment caused by OTHER than normal guest wear and tear, may be deemed the responsibility of the registered guest causing such damage. Reasonable repair or replacement compensation, if necessary, will be charged to the guest's credit card on file.


Smoking Policy

The PILLOW AND PADDOCK IS A NON-SMOKING ESTABLISHMENT. Absolutely No Smoking inside the house; however designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Any infractions of this policy will mandate a MINIMAL charge of $250.00 to cover the cost of specialized cleaning.


Children

Children under the age of 12 years old cannot usually be accommodated in the five (5) Suites upstairs, however, we do acknowledge that special situations sometimes allow for children, so please call to discuss availability. Children can be accommodated in our self-catering Apartment Suites or through a Whole-Inn booking (includes all 5 upstairs Suites inside the main Inn).


Pets

Pets of any kind cannot be accommodated inside the main inn; however, the self-catering Apartment Suites are pet friendly for those weighing less than 30 pounds (maximum of two), fees apply. Please be sure to add pet/s when booking.


Gift Certificates

Gift certificates must be presented at check-in along with a valid driver's license. Gift certificates are transferable, HOWEVER, the gifting party must identify the new recipient by name either by phone, email or on the certificate itself.

Any remaining amount on gift certificates can be used at a later day up to the expiration date. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash.


AUTO-COLLECT

At the time of booking, the first night's rate will be collected. Payment for all retail items and gift certificates will also be collected.


CREDIT CARD SECURITY

Your credit card information is stored and processed securely.
